How we work
Here at DigitalPFP we try to keep things simple!
We ask our clients to prepare their digital image files exactly as they want them to be printed - see Preparing your image files for details.
In simple terms, you order on-line, pay securely via Google Checkout and send us your image files (either by e-mail or FTP). We print your images exactly as requested, check they meet our exacting standards, package them securely and post the prints to you. Simple really!
Going in to a bit more detail now...
You place your print order from this website via the Online Ordering page. Simply enter the image size and border size you require, select the type of paper you want from the drop down menu, enter the file name of the image and the number of copies then click the add to cart button.
When you have completed your order, follow the link to Google Checkout and pay securely using your debit or credit card. This process is totally secure, we don't get to see your card details at all; Google collects the payments for us (Google * DigitalPFP will appear on your card statement).
If your image files are less than 10MB in total, you can simply e-mail them to us with the files as attachments. For larger files it is better to send them by ftp - we will send you simple instructions on how to do this on your order acknowledgement.
We strongly suggest you request a proof for each image, especially if it is for large format prints or if you are not familiar with our work. We will promptly prepare an A4 size print on the chosen paper with two image areas - one area shows the whole image (reduced to fit) to confirm we have the correct file, the other area shows a selected area of the image at actual size to show the colour, detail and texture of the print we are going to produce for you. We will post the proof to you promptly. It will have a serial number on it and all we ask is for you to send us a quick e-mail quoting the proof serial number as approval to go ahead with printing. As your experience with us develops and your confidence in us grows, you will find it's unnecessary to order proofs for all but the most demanding prints.
Your prints will produced by trained perfectionists working a fully ICC colour managed workflow using state of the art software and large format inkjet printers with specialist pigment ink sets.
Each print will be individually inspected and approved before being packed ready for despatch. Prints up to A3 size are packed flat in stiff board-backed envelopes; larger prints are rolled loosely and packed in new 3inch diameter postal tubes.
For UK deliveries, we use Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day and for other European countries deliveries are sent by Royal Mail Airsure. We find both these services work really well.
If, for any reason, you are not happy with your prints, simply return them in the original packaging within a week of receipt, enclosing a letter explaining why you are not happy and we will either refund you in full, or reprint the images for you.
For photographers and artists who are selling limited edition prints, we are happy to hold your image files on our secure server and print them promptly as and when required. Please contact us for full details of this service.
If you are unable to prepare you images as digital files, for example if you produce your work by traditional methods such as watercolour, ink and pen drawing etc, please contact us and we can arrange to have your images scanned for you.
